Maggi

Let’s be honest, Maggi is one thing that everybody loves (almost everybody). And when we hear about Maggi, there is this tag line which pops up in our heads “bas do minute”. Maggi has become a food product which is easy to make and satisfies our hunger. Our daily routine has become so busy that this kind of products makes it easy for us to spare some time for leisure. Although we cannot have Maggi regularly, but twice a fortnight is fine. Maggi is not very healthy food to have, I agree. But then there are many other dishes we have and we make for our children which are not very healthy too. But we have it anyway. Kids love these kinds of food and we cannot restrict them to not have them at all. But, of course, we can stop them for having it daily. So it’s fine to have Maggie but it has to have its limit and I am sure we all don’t consume it in excess.

As there is a pattern in all my blogs that I share an experience and then come up with a conclusion, I have an experience to share on this topic also which made me right this blog. This is just what I observe and what happens in our surroundings. So I’ve been friends with some of the women that work. They make their kids have Maggi twice a fortnight, which is fine according to me. But their mother-in-law doesn’t approve that. They think that because women work, they let their children have Maggi and don’t take care of their health. On the contrary, I have seen many housewives making Maggi for their kids and being supported by their mother-in-laws (who have the same mentality). This made me think that why is it still that that working is considered a thing which is not made for women? And no matter how perfectly you take care of your children, if you work, you are going to be criticized. This is what I want to change, the mentality of the people for working women. They think that if kids of working women get sick or not doing well academically; this is because their mothers are working women. There are many such things which bothers me but I am sure I’ll wake up to the day when people will consider that working is equally important for women as it is for men, very soon.
