Social Media Mania

Social media has become an integral part of our lives. And if we see it in a positive way, it helps us stay connected with people and keep us up-to-date about the changes happening in the fast moving world. It is not possible to meet each and every friend or relative of ours on daily basis, but still we can stay in contact through social media. I am sure that we all have a family and a friends group on a social media platform. I also have one which is my school friends group. I love to be the part of this group because we share everything to one another.  We share our problems, our happy moments, some innovative ideas, and every possible thing. We are like family. We help one another and stay connected and this is possible only because of social media. We don’t feel that due to busy life we are not able to give time to each other. It feels like we share the same bond as we did in our school days. Personally, I love this group of mine and we do lots of masti together. It was all good good till ,from one friend of mine, I came to know that some of my friends think that whenever I post something on my social media account related to my work, they give it a like and a comment to encourage me but in return I don’t do the same. They believe that if I don’t like their photos and posts on social media I am not a good friend and I am very much self-centred. They maintain their friendship with me based on whether I “like” their posts or not. They never try to think about the reason behind it and this just creates problem in our friendship. I still believe that social media is a good platform to connect with people but my point is, we cannot make social media a medium to measure our relation with one another. We cannot measure our relation based on likes and comments we get. I love all my friends equally but this kind of mentality is just not acceptable.
