Dr.Jayant Naralikar sir has selected as the president for 94th All India Marathi Literature Conference which is going to be held from 26-28th March 2021 at Nashik in Maharashtra state.We are very fortunate to have the president like him because of his extra talent in research and his contribution in science as well as in Marathi literature.

                     He was born on 19th July,1938 at Kohlapur in Maharashtra state.He is the famous International astrophysicist.He has been awarded with 'Padmvibhushan'  by our Indian Government.He has also been awarded with 'Maharashtra Bhushan' by Maharashtra Government in the year 2010.

                        After pursuing B.Sc. degree from Banaras Hindu university, Varanasi,he completed his higher education in Cambridge university and became famous as the talented mathematician. During that period he was awarded with 'Smith's award in 1962 and 'Adam's award in 1967.While working as the fellow in King's college upto 1972 along with his teacher Fred Hoyle,he putforth 'Steady state theory' which differs from 'Big Bang theory' in the field of astronomy.This is called 'Hoyle- Naralikar theory'.

                        After 1972 he returned back to India and conducted work in 'Tata Institute of Fundamental Research' as the HOD of astrophysics upto 1989.He has done research in subjects like quantum physics,quantum cosmology and gravitation.

                       He has been working on Global environment since 1999 at the topmost height (about 41000 meters) for the subject 'Microbial existence' along with an International group and found existence of some microbes or bacteria at that height which was the dangerous research.

                      Jayant Naralikar is the well-known mass appeal writer who has explained science in an easy way.His contribution in producing literature and lectures in mother tongue is very big. Some of his well known Marathi books are 'Char Nagratle Maze Vishwa', 'Akashashi Jadle Nate', 'Khagolshastrache Vishwa', 'Time Machinechi Kimya', 'Yakshanchi Denagi', ' Vaman Parat Na Ala', 'Preshit',etc. He has felicitated by Sahitya Academy Award for his Marathi autobiography ' Char Nagratle Maze Vishwa'.He also awarded by Maharashtra Government for his Marathi book 'Yakshanchi Denagi'.

                The famous Marathi well known writer Dr. Vijaya Wad has written his biography  'Vidnyanyatri Dr. Jayant Naralikar'.Finally I wish him a very happy, healthy and longer life.
