Daughter plays an important role especially when exploring relationships between family members and gender roles.

She is not only a daughter or a woman but a light to the paths of many.Still there is discrimination between a son and a daughter in many of the Indian societies.But many of our daughters have proved that they are not less than sons.

With this extract my memories lead to the past.New academic session was going to start.All the educators were planning their schedule.Vani was appointed in our institution.She was an innovative,devotional and a creative educator.With in short period of time she became an apple of an eye among the students.I was fascinated by  her.Once I enquired about her qualification.She told that she had completed her engineering and was a topper in her college.I was astonished and asked her why she was working in an educational institution instead of corporate sector.She told that after completing her engineering she worked in a renowned and multinational company for two years.

Meanwhile her mother suffered with multiple ailments and couldn't cope up.She was quite serious.Her siblings were quite young to take care of their mother.When she came to know about her mother,she immediately took decision of quitting the job to be near her mother.

After some days four surgeries were performed to her mother.When her mother recovered ,Vani joined an educational institution to be an educator so that she could spare time for her parents and could take care of them.She proved everyone that she was not less than a son and could never turn away from her responsibilities. Everyone should have such daughter.
