Two worlds apart?

The sound of the chirping birds,

At that moment, felt absurd.

The soft breeze that swayed the tree,

Could not penetrate the numb body.

The bright and varied coloured sky,

Contrasting the darkness she was surrounded by.

The ecstatic noise of people she heard,

No match for the many talks in her head.

Only a peep to the brightness she could get,

Before she decided to yell out for help.

Around her was an echo of her dreaded yell,

Unknown and unheard to the outsider's ear it fell.

The birds, winds, skies and people changed

Yet in the dark place, only herself she avenged.

Three steel bars in a wall separated the two worlds,

To communicate between the two, she fell short of words.
