Core memory
I stood amidst the mysterious ocean
Secured by a wooden plank and bars
Shone before me the mighty yellow sun
And the wind blew through all my scars
I was taken back in time, all at once
As the waves clashed against each other
In a rhythm felt with every beating pulse
Concrete houses and buildings were a blur
Not a single sound I could hear around me
But of those that nature chose to speak
Endless was the beauty that I could see
As my heart felt happiness at its peak.
