'Silence'

When words fail, it speaks,

And that is why it lives,

With difficulty we create it,

But words simply destroy it...

Beautiful like the lake it may seem,

Trebles of the river, enhance it,

Peaceful like the sky it may seem,

Chirps of the birds, beautify it...

How calm and assuring that is!

Creepy like the night it might seem,

The howls of the wolves,

Screeching of the bats,

And the empty road at night...

How scary and dark that is!

Heartbreaking it might seem,

When no words are exchanged,

But only occasional glances,

And the bond is thereby lost...

How upsetting and disturbing that is!

Wonderful like love it might seem,

Only your presence you feel,

Sitting alone at one place,

And it feels so light...

How free your mind and soul is!

Just one simple word it is,

Which makes us feel so much,

Calm, scared, disturbed and free,

How mysterious is Silence!
