JASNA GUGIĆ - BIOGRAPHY

Jasna Gugić was born in Vinkovci, Croatia. She is the Vice-President of the Association of Artists and Writers of the World SAPS; P.L.O.T.S USA the Creative Magazine Ambassador for Croatia, Ambassador in Elite Arab Creative Union of The Royal House - Lebanon, Ambassador of Peace and Peaceful Coexistence - Morooco, Global Ambassador of Literacy and Culture for the Asih Sasami Indonesia Global Writers and a member of Angeena International, a non-profit organization for peace, humanity, literature, poetry, and culture. She is also co-editor of the anthology, Compassion-Save the World, one poem was written by 130 world poets.

Jasna has published three collections of poems. The first two collections are bilingual: one is Croatian-English and the other is Croatian-Polish. The third collection consists of a single poem translated into sixty languages of the world.

Jasna Gugić is one of the winners of the World Award for Cultural Excellence "César Vallejo" for the year 2020. in the category of culture, awarded by Union Hispanomundial de Escritores (UHE).

She is one of the winners of the World Award for Excellence "Golden Eagle" for the year 2023. in the category of literature, awarded by Union Hispanomundial de Escritores (UHE), in a global alliance with Mil Mentes por Mexico International (MMPMI) and Academia Mundial de Literatura, Historia, Arte y Cultura(AMLHAC) and Global Peace Alliance Award 2023. awarded by Union Hispanomundial de Escritores (UHE) , MIL MENTES por Mexico Internacional, and Academia Mundial de Literatura, Historia, Arte y Cultura(AMLHAC).

Jasna is a multiple winner of many international awards for poetry and literature and her work has been translated into several world languages. She lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.

Jyotirmaya Thakur born in India, is a retired Principal of Cambridge affiliated school ,bilingual author of fifty one books in five  genres with many waiting to be published ,translated into over 43  languages and is a co-author in  many International Anthologies. Her poems , stories , articles and research papers have been widely published and translated in many languages in highly acclaimed journals and reputed magazines. Jyotirmaya Thakur is an illustrious author and poet, Peace Ambassador and a veteran academic. A voice to adhere to in our tumultuous times. Jyotirmaya  earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Masters Degree in English language and literature from Indian University and  London University. She also has earned GrandMaster Degree in Reiki Healing and Karuna Reiki as well as HFDE Healing Degree.  She is a Hindi translator for the Ithaca Magazine of Spain circulated globally.  She is a Multi-Genre Award Winner, Reviewer, Columnist, Editor, Motivational Speaker , Philanthropist , Environmental, Social and Cultural activist. She is the first Indian origin woman to be Vice -President of the parliament of the World Union of Writers and Poets , Italy from January 2019 to 2022.  President of the Indian National Group and Ambassador of SAP , Poland .She has been featured as "A Woman of Essence " by Dotism Journal, Australia. "Woman of Excellence " and in the 'Gems' series by the World Pictorial Poetry forum, Daman. She has been featured in -'The World Contemporary English Poets' anthology by Paschim Bangla English Academy . Featured as Modern Poets in Silk Road  Anthology Ancient Egyptian. She received the 'Super Granny Award' from the Indian Inspiring Women group in London in the Parliament House , Westminster.

Jyotirmaya Thakur means different things to different people, for she is an embodiment of what is ideal, especially what is aspired to by an accomplished personality. She aims to harness the power of her pen championing to eradicate social issues of child abuse, mental health awareness and crimes against humanity . She exemplifies the ideal that writing is more than just words on paper, it is a means of creating positive change in the world.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys the outdoors, cooking delicious  food, meditating,yoga and taking Reiki classes. She loves travelling around the world and is in love with all cultures and portrays them in her work. She is an Indian living in the UK, with her two sons and grandchildren.
