Healing

The desert sand felt cold against my feet,
As my foot immersed entirely in it,
It recovered back, as if from deep water,
It sent sand grains flying into thin air.

As I took a deep breath and another step,
I flew towards the sun about to set,
My feet drowning yet surviving in the sand,
A message to me each step did send.

The cold air blew against my face,
And gently blew my hair all over the place,
The sand granules slid through my fingers,
The wind blew, reminding no moment lingers.

The dark overtook the colourful sky,
And a smile made its way up and high,
I sat there letting time and space take over me,
As I looked up at the smile, in hope of some glee.
