Book Summary *

Rather than calling this an autobiography, it is a summary of how we lived and grew through whatever life brought our way. My father’s generation and mine both began from nothing. Each of us worked immensely hard in our own ways and achieved a stable life. Our children, with their intelligence and hard work, reached even greater heights.
	For us, even a simple airplane journey once felt like a huge dream. We had never imagined that we would travel to America several times, and that one day we would even settle there. Tremendous changes occurred across all three generations, but in this generation, the changes happened rapidly. For my children, who studied in a school in a backward region like Gadchiroli, to reach Nanded – IIT Powai-Mumbai, Pune, and then take a leap abroad, is truly remarkable. Following them, my brothers’ children also studied well and secured good jobs. When I became a little more relaxed in life, I felt that the struggles of my parents, myself, and my family should be written somewhere. The coming generations should know their ancestors, their journey, and the hardships they suffered. When I began writing with this intention, I realized that although our life was full of struggle and hardship, today it feels like a treasure of good experiences and beautiful memories. This must be shared with others, especially with the younger generation.
	I had taken upon myself the mission of uplifting my family. I sowed the seeds of progress and nurtured that small sapling with great effort. Today, that sapling has grown into a huge tree. This family tree of ours is not only prosperous but also flourishing with happiness and contentment. We have earned a reputation in society as a cultured and respectable family. I feel deeply fulfilled to be the seed from which such a fruitful and blossoming tree has grown.
	During the COVID quarantine, I came across the concept of Gratitude remembering the good that destiny has given us, feeling thankful for it, and expressing that gratitude. While making this list as part of an exercise to overcome sadness and despair, I realized how generously God has blessed us with many good things. Though memories of lifelong struggles remain, many good things have enriched our lives. I must share all this with my younger generation. I do not claim that I was always right, or that I always did good, or that I benefited everyone. But all my efforts were always for the welfare of my family. At every moment, I faced whatever came my way to the best of my ability. The progress of my family was not my work alone. My parents, who spent their entire lives in hardship and poverty, my wife, who entered our home at a very young age and stood by me equally in this long struggle; my brothers and their wives; and our new generation all stood behind me like an army. The women of the house managed everything with strength during difficult times. Without the contribution of all these people, our family tree would not have flourished as it has today. Many relatives, friends, well-wishers, and helping hands were part of this journey, and because of them, I am able to see these days. I do not wish to be free from the debt of any of them. I will remain forever grateful.
	For this writing, I received full support and cooperation from everyone at home. Likewise, for bringing Original Marathi autobiography into book form, Shopizen, Richa Karpe Madam, and Shri Ravi Bhaskarwar have played a major role. I am thankful to all of them.
