    Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota?

    5 107

This whole concept of "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota" is flawed. The concept of "Macho man" who has to save the honor of girl is basically conveyed to the audience through a many misogynistic movies of Bollywood. And it seems to be not ending anytime soon. They have put a huge burden on shoulder of Men to be strong, to have well built physique, shouldn't be emotionally drained and crying is out of stock. Our society has already divided the work between men and women. The traditional gender roles cast men as the breadwinner of the family. They have to go in the outside world and do the job, try hard to make the ends meet, carry the responsibility of the family on his shoulders, has to be intimidating and dominating. We tag Women as "crybabies" and don't let (even in dreams) a man cry. Whereas crying is the best method of shedding the load of emotional burden.
The society has even divided the games and sports of male. A male child has to play with planes, remote control car, helicopters and robots. They are restricted in playing with dolls, doll house, or other such games. They have play sports like cricket, football, handball. The society has even divided the colors between the males and females. Blue is for boys and pink is for girls.
This of our patriarchal society has so much expectations from the male version of humans. They have this concept of ALPHA MALE.
But what if, what if that male likes Pink color, likes to stay at home, be a house-husband or wants to cry on some emotional matter or on heartbreak, doesn't want take any responsibility and want to live with his parents. This whole misogynistic behavior comes from this kind of unequal environment where one gender is treated as Superior and equal to God and the other gender is not even considered as living being.

It is now important to talk about fair distribution of emotional stress in Men. They can't be so rough and tough all the time. Every man has a break down moment and they need to be told that CRYING IS OK. Playing with dolls are also cool. Liking Pink color is fine. They can also be sensitive and believe in equality. But what is not fine is not talking about the stress that this society has put on Man.
And no one gaining from faking this "All cool" attitude.
