Bertha Muzzy Sinclair (B.M. Bower) was an American author who wrote novels, short stories, and screenplays about the American Old West. Her works were centered around cowboys and cows of the Flying U Ranch in Montana, and reflected her keen interest in ranch life. Her writing was characterized by its accuracy in portraying cowboy life, factual attention to events such as cattle branding and bronc busting, and humor. Bower wrote 57 Western novels, and by the time of her death, her books had sold more than two million copies.
